Dr. Hadi Rahimian is a primary care physician specializing in obstetrics-gynecology with competences in obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound, in gynecologic laparoscopic surgery and hysteroscopy. He joined our team 14 years ago, and is presently the acting Medical Director at REGINA MARIA Băneasa Hospital.
Due to his vast experience, Dr. Hadi Rahimian is the most important fetal surgeon in Romania, having performed countless intrauterine surgeries at the Băneasa Maternity in cooperation with multidisciplinary teams, which marked a premiere for Romania.
Born in Iran, Dr. Rahimian came to Romania over 25 years ago eager to study fetal medicine. He enrolled at the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest. After graduating numerous specialty classes, the doctor devoted part of his career to maternal-fetal medicine, publishing 31 works in prestigious medical journals and contributing to the elaboration of an obstetrics textbook and co-authored the volume “Fetal sonogram”.
In 2013, Dr. Hadi Rahimian was presented with the “Award for Medical Innovation” from the College of Physicians in Romania for an intrauterine surgery performed on an infant with bilateral hydrothorax.
Dr. Rahimian is also a member of world-renowned expert societies, such as the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Gynecological and Obstetrical Society and the International Society for Prenatal Diagnosis.
