Dr. Vlad Petrescu works as Head of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department at Ponderas Academic Hospital. He is also part of the Euroclinic Hospital team and of the Medical Campus in Brașov, where he performs arthroscopies and specialized surgeries.
He is considered an authority at European level in the field of arthroscopic and knee surgery. Throughout his career he distinguished himself by means of numerous surgical interventions performed on patients suffering from rheumatoid polyarthritis and anchylosing spondylitis. Every year he performs 800 orthopedic surgical interventions.
His research activity is equally impressive. Dr. Vlad Petrescu has published over 140 scientific works, posters and communications and 4 specialized volumes in international journals and publications. In light of his contribution to medicine, he was awarded the “Achievement in orthopedics and traumatology” distinction at the 2016 Medical Elites Gala in Cluj.
Dr. Petrescu is also involved in the training of students, medical residents and specialists in the field of arthroscopy and orthopedic surgery, also working as Associate Lecturer at the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest.
