Our commitment to a sustainable growth
Environmental
For us, protecting the environment is not only an aspiration, but a self-imposed goal also stimulated by the Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditations for quality and patient safety obtained by two of our hospitals. JCI quality standards address a significant number of environmental issues, and the policies and procedures arising from them are applied in all locations of our network.
Specifically, our efforts to reduce the quantity of water used in our operations paid off; in 2021 REGINA MARIA used 37% less water than in the previous year. At the same time, starting with January 2021 we have decided to use only recycled paper in all our operations.

Social
The nature of our work at REGINA MARIA is to do good and make people’s lives better through improved access to primary care, preventive medicine and education. Over the years, this will reflect in: good health and well-being for a larger part of the Romanian population; quality education for the future generations of medical professionals; decent work and economic growth for our employees and for a more modern health system; reduced inequalities in accessing health care, which can be achieved through telemedicine, education and bringing primary care solutions closer to disadvantaged communities.
We are committed to empowering patients, doctors, subscribers and employees with accessible technology and digital tools – these being a driving force for equity, opportunity and accessibility of medical care.

We embed transparency and accountability at every level of our company. As leader of the private healthcare sector in Romania, it is our duty to set and follow the highest standards in the way we conduct our activity – from responsible consumption to fostering principled organizational conduct, informed and effective decision-making, that is compliant with our values, vision and development standards.
Our ambition also reflects in striving to consolidate the private – public partnership and to build a stronger, more efficient and resilient Romanian healthcare system.
