Matthew Strassberg is a Partner at Mid Europa. Matthew joined Mid Europa in 2002 and founded and leads the firm’s Healthcare Sector practice. He is a member of the Investment and Management Committees of the firm.
Matthew currently serves on the Boards of Regina Maria, Diagnostyka (The number one lab diagnostics group in Poland) and Kent Hospital Group (Turkey). Previously, Matthew has served on the Boards of Aster (Poland’s leading Broadband/CATV provider sold to Liberty Global), Luxmed (Poland’s leading integrated private healthcare provider, sold to BUPA), Alpha Medical (The number one lab diagnostics provider in Slovakia and Czech Republic, sold to Unilabs), Walmark (The number one independent vitamins and supplements manufacturer in Central Europe, sold to Stada) and MediGroup (The leading private healthcare provider in Serbia).
Prior to joining Mid Europa, Matthew worked in investment banking with Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan, in London and New York and for TLC Capital Partners, the private investment firm of Reginald F. Lewis in New York. Matthew holds an M.B.A. from INSEAD in Fontainebleau and a B.A. in Economics from The University of Chicago.
