High precision surgery with the daVinci surgical robot

By acquiring surgical robots in 2021, we became the first health care network in Romania with 3 daVinci robots.

Robotic surgery is the most advanced form of minimally-invasive surgery and offers concrete benefits to both patients and surgeons. Surgeries performed with the help of the daVinci robot improve the patient's recovery, reduce the pain and time spent in the hospital and speed up the return to life and daily activities. All of these benefits are possible because the daVinci robot helps the surgeon remove tumors without damaging nerves and other critical tissue in any way, reducing the amount of blood the patient loses during surgery.

Mako - the first orthopaedic robot in Europe

In 2020, we brought to Romania, for the first time in Central and Eastern Europe, the first state-of-the-art robotic equipment dedicated to personalized knee and hip prosthesis interventions. Mako Robot uses a virtual 3D model that allows surgeons to make custom prostheses adjusted on each patient's anatomy. Assisted by the robotic arm, the ortho surgeon positions the implant and can make the necessary adjustments at a high level of accuracy and predictability.

Ultra-performing angiography systems

We have two of the most advanced angiography systems, which allow teams specializing in medical and interventional radiology to quickly observe abnormal blood flow caused by narrowing of blood vessels (stenosis) or other problems within the structure of the heart.
Angiography is an advanced, fast and safe imaging technology for imaging the heart and coronary arteries. It helps to locate blockages in the lungs, heart, brain and other smaller blood vessels, in detecting aneurysms (abnormal dilation of blood vessels), as well as in quick intervention to repair these problems.

Artificial intelligence in all Regina Maria imaging centers

After the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, we started a pilot project of artificial intelligence in the imaging centers in Timișoara to validate the accuracy of the results of the post-COVID investigations. At the end of 2021 we extended this project to all our imaging centers, becoming the first network to use an integrated AI algorithm for CT scans and chest X-rays. XVision's revolutionary AI technology helps radiologists map out areas of suspicion to make it easier to detect lung damage. The algorithm decreases the subjectivism of the doctor and increases the accuracy of the final diagnosis, having an essential role in post-COVID monitoring.
